Attaining the first genuine laugh and smile allows me to catch a glimpse of the purity of people through photography. Creating an atmosphere in which a person can let loose, feel free, and become whoever they want gives me the opportunity to get someone to open up and not hide behind any of their insecurities. I am drawn to the way a person's eyes talk to the camera and how they reveal the sincerity of an individual.
The photos follow the theme of imagination by adding unique accessories allows the model's playful nature to come out, and I try to capture their real emotions. I feel as people grow up they lose their imagination, their ability to be free spirited, and to just be silly. I try to remember that we were all kids once and because we are growing up does not mean we need to forget our mind's eye.
I am inspired admire such photographers as Richard Avedon, Diane Arbus, Anne Liebovitz Clifford Coffin, and Edward Weston. Her own personal style is inspired by the fashion style of Avedon and Clifford and the documentary style of Arbus.
